I read about this item, Alltrade 40759 Powerbuilt Didgital Torque Adaptor, in a car magazine and it worked very well. When I used it one time, it read the torque reading and then turned off. I was not able to turn it on. I called Alltrade and they said to send it back and they will replace it. They were very nice and quickly replaced the Digital Torque Adaptor with a new one and it works very well. I like that I can check my torque wrenches for accuracy and also use my other wrenches as a torque wrench. I am very satisfies with this torque adapter.

Torque wrenches are almost always out of calibration. When they are, they are almost useless. It can be critical if bolts are not torqued to the propper amount. For instance, I am torquing the bolts which attach the propeller to my airplane. This is a critical situation. It the torque wrench is off by 10 lbs. it could resust in a dangerous situation. The “powerbuilt” torque adaptor solves this problem. I like it.

Ordered one to keep in my toolbox when in case I need a torque wrench. It’s a very nice unit, it was in total agreement with my expensive torque wrench, and It’s a lot more portable.

    I highly recommend this unit

This product allows me to calibrate all of my torque wrenches in the shop, rather than sending them out for calibration. Works fine. Easy to use.

I compared this to a calibrated torque wrench and it was always within about 2 percent. That’s plenty close enough for my work, and the flexibility of being able to use it to turn even an ordinary breaker bar into a calibrated torque wrench makes it very appealing. Recommended!
